Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you are celebrating the day our Saviour came to earth.

I hope we are celebrating it with more than hot chocolate. I decided to do a bonus recipe on how to make chocolate. I know I wasn’t really posting much this year but I’ll make it my New year’s resolution to do so.

Chocolate

You’ll need; Cocoa powder, butter or coconut oil, sugar and vanilla extract.

1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of cocoa powder and 1/2 cup of sugar. Adjust the sugar to your taste.

2. Gradually add your coconut oil or melted butter (about 1/2 cup) to the cocoa powder mixture. Stir well until you get a smooth paste.

3. Add a splash of vanilla extract ( about 1 spoon) for flavor. You can also experiment with other flavorings like almond extract or spices.

4. Taste the mixture and adjust the flavorings or sweetness if needed.

5. Pour the mixture into molds or spread it onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

6. Place the molds or baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours or until the chocolate hardens.

7. Remove the harden chocolate from the molds or break into smaller pieces.

8. Serve and enjoy a chocolatey Christmas with your family.

Chocolate Pancakes

I promised so I have to do this. This is a Christmas inspired recipe. I got it because you celebrate the Christmas season without Hot Chocolate. So I thought of a very easy recipe.

Ingredients

All purpose flour

Cocoa Powder

Milk Powder

Water

Sugar

Oil

Steps

Put flour in a dry bowl

Add the cocoa powder and milk powder (don’t put too much cocoa powder or it would be bitter)

Add sugar

Add water (the amount of water you add determines how thick the batter is)

Drizzle oil in the pan

Pour some batter and fry

Serve hot with syrup or honey

And remember to have a very merry Christmas.
